Puberty is the beginning of womanhood and nature’s enduring way of pro-creation. Menopause is the end of that phase in a woman’s life. Some would say it is the beginning of her freedom and self-fulfillment and in a visceral sense. In actuality, menopause is the beginning of the aging process. The time span from puberty to menopause is temporary and lasts for approximately 40 years (e.g., age 11 to 51). Review the results of menopause and you will see that womanly instincts, appearance and sexual sensations are not maintained lifelong but rather decrease until all aspects of womanhood are diminished. Medical advancements have been made in many areas, except for one, women’s health. Have you ever given thought to the fact that menopause has a list of more than 17 negative health effects and yet not one thing has been done to improve or eliminate the process or any of it s symptoms?
On the contrary, when men start to age, they may lose some of their hair and even their physique, but they do not undergo a major chemical change, thus they remain in the game of life for their lifetime.
It’s time for medical advancements and technology to bridge the gap, and fill the holes, in order to keep women equally in the game of life for their lifetime, rather than the present pre-menopausal time frame of 51 years!
An important question that women should ask themselves is this: was my health better before menopause, did it stay the same, or did it decline?
I believe the following statement by Barbara Minton, Natural Health Editor at NaturalNews.com, gives a perfect summary concerning women and hormones:
“Hormones fill us with the music of life. With proper levels of hormones, there is no end to how good life can feel and what can be accomplished. When hormones are abundant and balanced, we have the full backing of Mother Nature. She is on our side, wanting to keep us alive and healthy enough for reproduction. When hormones decline and reproductive ability ceases, we are no longer useful in the scheme of life, and we are taken out just like a quarterback who can no longer perform. In the past several years there has been a tremendous effort in America to convince women that their hormones are their enemies. But the truth is that no matter how much organic food you eat, how many supplements you take, and how much exercise you get, vibrant health will elude you unless your hormones are at optimal levels and balanced.”
That being said, I am prepared and ready to lead the cause and effort to bring women’s health issues to a higher standard and their aging process equal to that of their counterpart. It is time for women to remain in the competitive game of life in the same manner and for as long men, and, more importantly, to do so with good health!
